I have three dogs. Two golden rtrievers (Dakota and Chyenne, they're from the same litter) and one older dog, named Luke. He was a mut that we found at the humane society. Back then he was young, energetic, and a troublemaker. He had already been returned twice by previous adopters, and was in the cage right next to the sheep killer, and trust me, yoou do not want to be next to the sheep killer. My parents knew that if they left him he would be put down and they couldn't have lived with themselves if they had let that happen. When they first brought him home they were immedietly tempted to take him back, but they knew the circumstances. Luke caused chaos on the hill, barking at cars and walkers on the road, wandering off in the morning when people were tryinng to sleep and yelping at their doors, but nothing was worse than what he made my Dad do.... It was a cold, November day, and my parents had brought Luke along for a visit to my grandparents. they let Luke wander around the property, following random scents. They were all sitting out on the porch (it hadn't snowed yet) and were talking when Luke came charging down the hill, jumped the four-foot wooden gate and landed right in the freezing water of the pool. My Dad had to jump in to get him out. After that my Dad had had it. they went and got one of those electric fences for Luke and my other dog at the time, Kea (she died just a couple years ago). From then on Luke got better and now in his old age he's sweet, calm and loveable. And that's the story of Luke.
I had 2 cats 1 fish and 1 hamster. we had to give away the cats and my hamster died on 1/2/28. all I have is a beta fish named saffire. I try to get my dad to get me a dog I still do don,t know what he,s thinking but I hope he says yes.
I have about 20,000 bees, 20 chickens and 1 dog. Last time we got honey from them they made 10 gallons of honey!!! Most of the time in the summer our chickens lay up to a dozen eggs. Hildegard is our 11 month goldendoodle [ she is not gold ]. She is a black shaggy, playful dog. "Girls best friend"
Wow Daphne! That sure is a lot of animals. I sometimes wish that our family had chickens, or a cow. We already have one horse named Buddy, and are boarding another horse named Windsor, so they'd fit right in. If only my family had chickens and cows, we'd never run out of eggs or milk again. And all of those bees. The very thought of all that honeys makes my mouth water. I could have honey on everything, like bread or a bagel... or pizza. I think you're lucky, Daphne, at one time to have all of those animals, yet at another unlucky, because they've got to be a lot of work.
I have two dogs and one cat. I used to have two cats but one died. My two dogs names are Dakota and JoJo. Dakota's a boy, and he's a german shepard/husky mix, he's FAT! HE HAS A TATTOO!!! JoJo's a boy too, and he's a goldan. My cats name is Sasha. She's REALLY fluffy! My other cat that died was named Shelbee, he was big!!
Daphne that is a lot of honey! I have 3 aquatic frogs that Mr.Baker gave me.There were at least 15 aquatic frogs 3 I took home I named Mike[really big one],Bob[albino] and Sara [smallest one].My dad and I think Sara is a girl because she is smaller and Mike is around her ALOT! When Bob was a tadpole you could see his internal organs and can still see if you look hard enough the blood vessels. I also have 1 yellow lab named Blue. The reason we named him Blue is because when we got him to tell that he was not all ready taken, so any way he had two blue dots on his butt.He was boy blue on the list of "Good Bye Puppies". Some times when Willy will spill food at dinner on the floor then Blue sprints to get the food before somebody picks it.
I have 5 cats,2 fish.My cat's names are Skittle,Nina,Tank,Tegra, and Nala.We called one of are cats skittle because here fur has three different colors.I can really only remember the day when I got my cat Tank, and Tegra. We went to go get them.originally we were going to get my cat Tank. But when my mom looked at his sister(Tegra)she couldn't leave her.My cat always has that effect on our family.Just looking into her face you you feel so powerless. But my cat Tank he likes being in high places. My cat Tank is curious. We sprayed a hornet with the hornet killing spray.Tank reached his tounge out to lick the hornet but I pulled him away.My cat Tank really likes attention when he wants it.Sometimes if you are sleeping and he is hungry and there is no food in his dish.He will pounce onto your bed and drive his paws into you forcefully into your stomach until your awake and meow in your face.Tank is smart at times and just plain dumb other times. Now this is a funny fact about my cat Nina. Before we got her,her name was Pipi after Pipi long stocking. And the last cat I haven't told about yet is Nala.Well she thinks everyone is out to get her.If we walk up to her she runs away, sometimes she runs into a chair not a pretty site. She really only trust my mom.Ithink because she was the one her brought her back home. And that is a little something about my cats.
I have four animals. A dog, two cats, and a horse. My dog's name is Oscar. He loves to play with Maddie's dog, Hildy. We still have our horse, Padre, but we are looking for a new home for him. In my lifetime we have had only ten animals. One of them was named Pumpkin. He was coming up our drive way and I went over and picked him up. I had Thyme over and my sister was outside. She named him. She lived with us for about two months and then we think she was eaten by a fisher cat. Our only dog now, Oscar, was tied up to a post on the Onion River vets' porch with a broken shoulder. We were not ready to take another dog into our family yet but when we heard this we had to. He was adorable. Our other dog, Ceaser, did not like our cats but Oscar loves them and my cat sometimes will just stand right under him. I love all my animals.
I am enjoying hearing about all of your pets - some of them have very interesting "coming home" stories. My dog, Clifford, actually belonged to my niece. When I went to visit her, she had a 2 year old, a 3 month old baby and a 7 month old dachshund puppy named Clifford. When I got there, she met me at the door, holding all three of them and said "You are not leaving here without one of them and I don't care which one you take." Having four children of my own, I chose the dog. :) We adore him - he is very sweet and very protective of the kids (and his food, unfortunately).
He is our only pet. All of our hamsters have gone to Hamster Heaven (our last one, Mona, was a great friend to Clifford and was buried last Spring)
I make noise every once in a while about getting another dachshund, a black and tan female. But then I remember what a big job a puppy really is...
A goldfish is a lot easier than raising a puppy. Our mom has said that we will get a fish soon but we haven't yet. That isn't to say that we never have had a fish. I have a few pet stories myself. Once my family had two cats (Bentley and Morris), opposed to our now three. They were pretty indentical and looked like a regular tabby cat but they were special. Morris was very unfortuante. one day when Nathaniel and I were at school Morris wandered out into the road. soon after, a truck came down the road and slammed into Morris. A few months later we over came that loss and got a new cat Toby, who looks a bit like Bentley but has yellow under his chin and smoother, silkier orange fur. Toby also had a bit tragedy. Toby went outside and was walking along near the brink of the road. Something happened there. Toby was never found. He was a beautiful cat so we want to believe that someone took him home but that is unllikely. sadly, we belive that Toby is no longer with us. We now have three cats.
Ernie, I know how you feel, we once had a cat named Pumpkin (I know, big coincidence "annonymous") and he was orange and FAT! One day we let him out and waited three days for him to come back before giving up. We were pretty sad but decided we wanted another. A year later we heard from the our neighbors that they had found a cat wandering around their house and it didn't have a tag. Naturally, we took him and named him Socks, because of his white legs. A year later he went missing, just like Pumpkin. Our family has never had much luck with cats, so from then on we stuck to dogs.
All my animals are very inportant to me, and the rest of my family. Yes a coincedence pigwidgeon. Exept our cat pumpkin was black and very skiny. I have the slightest idea how she got that name. Oscar is the most wonderful dog and he likes anyone. Everyday he comes to the bottum of the bus stop with me and waites. When we get dropped off at our house in the afternoon he comes and sits at the bottum of the stept and allen gives me a bone to give to him. I have also trained this dog to bring up the mail. He ends up dropping three but some how he manages to get the rest up the driveway. my horse padre will let him stand right under although oscar does not do it often. My dog has a horrible sense of smell. He can not sniff out a foot long bone himself.
I have never had a pet of any kind. Both my mom and I are allergic to fur, so it would not be very pleasant to be sneezing and sniffling around the house all the time. Also, my life seems pretty full without a dog or cat. I feel sorry for fish, having to live in that tiny little bowl, and dogs take a lot of effort (i.e. Walking, feeding, and having to hire petsitters when you go on a trip.) I've never been very fond of cats, and creepy- crawly pets gross me out. Some of you will never talk to me again, but for me, sneezing and shoveling poop doesn't sound so fun for me.
I know how you feel erine. My dog was loved by everyone in the family. He was energetic as a a dog.But when we had to put our other dog to sleep. He was never the same.He also had the same thing our other dog had.He had arthritides.Well that is what happens to dogs and humans.
Those of you who go on my bus have probably seen Hildie sitting on the dank on the other side of her invisible fence waiting for the bus. In the winter the snow is to deep so she waits for us on the porch.
pigwidgeon it is really not to much work. Every summer you must got the honey from the bees and that is all you must do with theme. The process is simple, you must carry the over the hive [ you will probably get stung]. Then you get a Knife that has been dipped in boiling water and cut the cappings off the little honey sells. Put the honey sells in a metal barrel and tern the crank [ this takes all day]. Let it sit for 24 hours, then you will have fresh honey.
All you have to do with chickens is give them food, water and get there eggs and clean there coop every 2 weeks.
My sister is bananas about Corgis, a type of dog. She has pictures of them all over her room, and they are all she ever talks about. My dad used to own a Corgi before I was born, so he is always telling her about him. She has a speech problem where she can't pronounce the letter R. My parents say that if she corrects that, they will buy her a Corgi.
I think having a pet is awsome. You can teach trick like roll over sit jump and dance. Trust me I say a dog dance. It pretty funny when a dog dance. It was so funny people sented videos to AFV[amermica's funnist home videos].
p.s. mrs baker why don,t send a videof your dog to AFV.
I have a puppy and he is so cute.My famialy has allready tot him how to sit. When he first figured out that when he sits he gets food, I got his water and made him sit.I turned around to get his food I came back and he was allready sitting.
I have three cats two rats and one turtle. I use to have four cats peaches,Nicky,Midnight, and Cyrus. One we took the cats outside for a while to get some fresh air, when it was time to let them in,only Midnight,Nicky, and Peached came in. We waited for a while, but he didn't come in, and usually they don't come in and they then in the morning they would. we called for him but he still didn't come. So my dad went to carry the laundry over to my grandparent's house (we don't have a washer or a dryer) and while he was carrying it over he saw Cyrus lying there on the durt pile next to my grandparent's house. After he gave my gram the laundry basket he ran to go check on Cyrus, but Cyrus was no longer breathing and so my dad went to go bury him. He told us and he said that Cyrus could have gotten hit by a car in the middle of the night when he was crossing the street to uor house. About the rats My sister April is the one who has them Riley is the first rat that she got. After a while Riley would get so bord watching April do her home work, she would run around in curcles and bite her tail. Now this is an exercises for Riley because she is a fat rat so she didn't move that fast. April went to the pt store to get a nother rat so Riley would not need to be alone. When Riley saw what Bean (the second rat) she chaced her tail for an half an hour then sat on Bean, and then peed on Bean. The rats April bought were fancey rats so they cleaned them selves about every thirdy or fordy minutes maybe less. The turle is Aileen's and he is an Aquatic turtle and believe me he crawls fast on land. all he does is swim, look at is food, and bask(basking) under his light. When we take him out and put him in the tub he likes to climb or try to climb out of the tub when we are cleaning his tank. The thing I think is cool about the turtle, is he can hold his breath under water for four days.
I have 2 cats, one is a kittin and one is a 6 or 7 yeaar old cat. I want a black lab and a yellow lab. I had a black cat named shadow but he ran-away. and last I had a dog but she died.My brother only wants a black lab.
I had a cat, but when my step dad and step sister moved in we had to get rid of it because my step sister is alergic to cats. But now I have a puppy and thats just as good.
I have never seen a dog dance but I find it peculiar. How does a dog dance? As I have said I have some pet stories. What you heard before was just one story. Get comfortable, here it is:
At this time we had only on cat, Bentley. This was before Toby and after Morris. he have a camp up in Lake Parker, of which we named our dog after. We normally just go up with our Family, Mom, Nathaniel, (sadly, he's family, just kidding), and myself. But occasionally our Dad comes up when he isn't working. And we bring the dogs, Parker, whom I have mentioned before. And Bailey. But this time i don't believe we brought the "puppies. We only brought our cat Bentley. Bentley had never been to lake parker before, or very far for that matter. The only time he had a chance to "see the sights" was when he went outside during the day and a bit of the night. The furthest he had been was to the pond, a mere 75 yards away from the house. But now Bentley has gone on more adventures and has gone onto the brown, dilapidated shack less then a mile down the road. When we got to the animal store, (not a real name, just what we call it), Bentley was let out of his kennel. But our Mom had the window down and he raced right through it. All of us quickly unstraped from our seatbelts and looked for him but he was nowhere in sight. After a twenty-minute search we ride quietly to our lake house. Mom dropped us off and went out look. No luck. Than later that day, around 6:30 PM., she went to look again, and guess what...
No luck. We then retired for the night. At eight o' clock she was at it again, but this time she found something. She heard and saw two cats at the top of a hill, covered with trees. She had gone up the hill and this was the sight that she saw. Bentley was attracted by milk put out by an owner for their cat. Bentley tried to have some but then the other cat came and stole it. She crept up very quietly, and picked Bentley up. For a present to the family we gave them money and, of course, cat food.
I have seven pets and the first pets I got where my two cats we got them from a shelter in brooklyn and they seemed to have been mistreated because most every thing we do scares them away but junah our gloden colored cat I am not sure what breed is getting more use to the things around him.My second cat ( micah ) also came from the shelter he was in the same cage as jonah and they have been friends for a long time micah is scared of most things and most likely will run away from you unless he is sitting down or knows you pretty well. My next cats name is bink and I got him two years before I moved to vermont we got him from a friend of ours who had him since he was a kitten. The fourth pet on the lists name is clayton named after me he is a blue and white bird and loves screaming at the sun we use to have another bird but it died soon after we moved here. The fifth pet ziggy is a mix of chow and german shepared and is very calm and does not bark unless there is a squrriel running by or some other creature he can bark at he loves snow and is very friendly with people and dogs his size or bigger he is a little bit uncomfortable and sometimes scared of little dogs. The last two pets of the evening are hazelnut and nutmeg hazel and meg for short they are guinea pigs ,I got them in 2006 onchrismas one time I was feeding themand I put out my finger so hazel could smell it she stuck her nose out and smelled it and after she finished smelling she bit my finger.
When we first got ziggy we went out for a picnic and I opened the trunk and stood ther I did not think about putting the leash on first so ziggy ran out of the car, at first my brother and one of my friends ran after the dog but he was to fast and keeped on running this happened on a saturday he even stopped traffic running across the street trying to get away from my brother and my friend.I did not run after my dog my dad had to drive my brotheres girl friend home and when he came back we wrer following the dog in the car , it toke untill monday for them to finally get ziggy back they said someone trapped ziggy in there garage I was so happy I almost yelled but it was in the middle of class when my dad called to tell me the good news and I did not want to get in trouble.Ziggy has getten a few times after that like yesterday but none more dramatic then that day we fist got him.
I've noticed that some people are better off with sometimes dogs and sometimes cats or other pets, and sometimes if you are better with keeping a dog for a long time, you might not be good at keeping a cat for as long as you do with the dog. And same goes with cat people .
I don't really no what happened or who did it but one night I came home from eating dinner and I saw bink laying on the floor I went over to pet him but he hissed at me I toke a closer look at his fur and noticed a very big cut across his stomach I told my dad what I saw and we toke bink to the vet and they had to do a little sergery. We think that jonah is responsible for hurting bink because they have been fighting ever since bink came back from the vet. Now bink and jonah are getting along a lot better now and they haven't fpught for a very long time maybe a few months and for them not fighting for a few months is a very long time.

My mom can't seam to get us all straight. She calls my sister Hannah, Padre, and she calls me Oscar! Soetimes she askes Hannah to go se padre, she will say "Padre will u go check Padres water?" Hannah will look at my mom and just walk out the door. I would say she has six animals in the house.
I have two Puinea Pigs, and one cat. Our Guinea Pigs are named Hagrid and Mr. Cuddles. Our cat is gray so we named her Raindrop. Raindrop has a wierd habbit of drooling when ever we pet her. Our Guinea Pigs are brothers. they don't like being held by us.
My dog Dakota's a city dog a guess. When he go's outside he only stays out for a few minuted. He could be an indoor dog if he wanted. HE'S LAZY!!! He grunts when he lays down. JoJo just has really bad breath!
I used to have a gerbal it was named Rufus he was really nice and would not bite unlike speedy(brother`s dwarf hamster) wich I discovered when Jacob came to my house. When Iwas in 2nd grade I had a chineese water dragon named dragon
We used to have three dogs. Buddy, Happy and Phil. They were all from the same litter. They were really old and my dad was tired of haveing them around. So he and my mom decided to put them to sleep. Buddy, being the oldest was first then Phil then Happy. WE took there bodys out into our woods and buried them a few feet away from a small shelter made out of sticks.

You can teach trick like roll over

Green dragon I think you meant "I've seen a dog dance before" And it's sometimes funny.
If I get a black lab or a yellow lab its going to be a puppy!, Mr. bling how long ago did you get your puppy?
