Favorite Animals

OK, another good idea from the Noah Department. What are your favorite animals and if you care to share, why do you think they are your favorites?

I don't really have a favorite animal. At home we have many but I don't really find one species better. I like longhaired cats because they are very fluffy. At other peoples houses I have experienced that longhaired cats are lazy and testy, but not ours. Well they definitely are lazy. The thing is, they don't really care what you do with them. Like if you pick them up and cradle them or put them over your shoulder. I don't know if this is a fact that they don't really care what happens or if they are too lazy to resist.

Ernie I think I know one type of animal you really like besides "fluffy cats" remember Dragon I think that was one of you'er favorites.

My favorite animal that isn't domestic (because if it could be domestic I'd be guilty of not saying it was my dog) is one that is not so well known. It is called the arctic fox and has fluffy white fur, and is about as large as a normal fox. I saw one in a museum and and liked it instantly. It's fur is sleek and it's graceful and agile, like the kind of fox we are used to. Another reason I like it is because it's in the canine family. I like dogs because they can take care of themselves, but make loyal pets.

I don't have a very favorite animal but I like the tiger a lot, I also like the bull. The tiger is one of the most deadliest animals I think on the planet. The bull is deadly too. The bull is a very vicious too, The tiger and the bull are very cool i think, that is only my opinion.

Fluffy cats? Ok...
I think my favorite animal is a goose. Yes a goose. I used to never have a favorite animal but then Kelsey, Thyme, and me gave everyone nicknames. I am not going to list all of them because that would take a really long time but the people with the favorite or cool nicknames might talk about them on the blog later. One rule that these names had to have was they all had to end in ii. One animal I used to like until I found out it was pink was a flumingo. I would have known it was pink but I was only about three. In our family we have a dog named Oscar(though we call him Oscar minor weenor) and two cats named Milo and Mosey. When my sister was younger she wanted to name Mosey marshmellow fluff. But of course my mom said no. Milo is a boy but when we adopted him the paper said he was found caring for to baby kittens and cleaning them. It was pretty cool. We used to have a cat named Pumpkin. One day Thyme was over and we saw this black thing walking up the driveway. And we went down to get it. When he first came he was really matted up but we gave him alot of food and he was all good. Then one night my dad let him outside and h e was eaten by a fisher cat. The end. I know it sounds like I am blaming my dad. But it is true. Also my mom found a cat on the side of the roadf and brought him home. Usually i love cats but he was pretty close to being dead.

Opps I ment to talk about my horse. Next time I guess.

I also like cats, i have a cat named smokey because her fur was gray but she has fur that is turning into a mix of gray and a little bit of yellow put togather. The cat is very funny when she is very hipper, she can scratch you bad too.

My favorite animal is horses. I grew up riding because my grandfather is a farrier, a horse trainer, and he has many of his own. I started riding at the age of four. And I even do some training sometimes too. I've even trimmed before, ( cutting the horses hoof. ) I'm really good with horses too. When my grampa had a one year old foal, I was bored so I grabbed a lead rope and got on it's back, all she did was look back at me like " what the heck are you doing."

I guess the reason I love them so much is I grew up around them.
In fact I'm going over to my gramp's on vacation, let's see how long I stay this time, I usually plan to go for a day or two, but I always end up staying for a week or so!

I also like Hippo's because their cool and FAT!!!!!!

My horse? Now that is a story. We got my horse up somewhere far from here. Our horse, Padre(which means father in spanish)was a barrel racer. When my sister first bought him he was living down at our neighboors house. She also had a horse. Padre moved all over the place. When he finally came two our house he was much happier afer living in a stable and being whipped, living in a farm place with no bed Padre followed our rules well. We love him. But as my sister got older she started liking to ride less and less. And she was sick of doing the barn chores. We used to have a horse named Winzer but he was a hand full. We are trying to sell Padre. If we end up finding a home for Padre we are not going to get an other horse. My sister finally figured out they are to hard to handle. When you are younger they are fun but your taste starts to change.

Tini*), why did you end up staying at your grand parents for a week or so, that is just wierd, Because you are over about 5 days.

Anonymous said...

It's only my grandfather, my grandmother passed away a few years ago.

And I don't know why, I don't see him as much anymore, maybe that's why. And every night I'm there he goes "so you want to stay another night?" And I say yes until I have to go.

Anonymous said...

Tini, i'm sorry that your grandmother past away, your grandfather must feel lonly once in a while. It was not long ago that my grandfather past away.
But any way, my favorite animal is a cat, Russin black cats. Sipleahoppatence, you have a fluffy cat, so what was up with the "Fluffy cats, ok...." ?
The reason I love cats are because they have claws so they can deffend them selfs and climb trees and other stuff. But they can go in to little places, like we could when we were little. Like my cat, she loves to go in dark small places, I gess she likes to go there because she feels comfterable in small areas. Like nothing could harm her. I dont really know. But it would be cool to be a cat, just not the flees, or the rats, I wouldn't eat rats.

Anonymous said...

Midnight I have never heard of a Russin cat.I do have a fat, black cat(that rhymes). She is a tuxedo cat.I really don't have a favorite animal, but one of my favorite mammals are platypuses. One weird fact is they lay eggs.I got interested by these fascinating animals by Mrs.Cingiser making me study them.I guess sometimes when teachers tell you to study something, it might be something interesting. That is my lesson I have learned from that story.I also like gorillas too. They might be beast when it comes to protecting their young, but they are pretty smart like chimps.
And Markus you might not want to give away your identity.

Anonymous said...

Wow, Midnight, are you saying that your cat actually brings back rats in his mouth? I have heard about cats doing that, but never actually seen it. That would definitely gross me out...
Our family does not have any pets, but my sister really wants a corgi. (A type of dog.) She is constantly showing me pictures of them, and talking about how much she wants one. From the photos that she has all over her room, I do agree that they are quite cute. Her favorite type are called Cardigan Corgis. They are rusty red with white tails and feet, with very short legs. My dad used to own one, and he said it was hilarious to watch them walk down a case of stairs. It looks like a giant ball of fur, bouncing down.

As for wild animals, I would have to say my favorite is the Harp Seal, especially baby ones. They live in the arctic, just like Pigwideon's favorite animal, the Arctic Fox. I have loved them ever since I got Sealy, my stuffed animal seal. If you guys have seen him, which most of you have, you would agree that seals are one of the cutest animal species ever.

Sorry, Flanders posted while I was writing the last comment.

This counts as a post, right? :)

I think Mrs baker wil let it slide, Phatt Mann. Another of the animals I like is the perigrin falcon. It may not be the biggest thing around, but it packs a punch. It's the fastest bird on the face of the earth, and a terror to it's prey. There's a book about one called Frightful's Mountain, a sequal to the My Side Of The Mountain series. I read it and liked it. Well, seeing as I've gotten back to the topic of books (de ja vous) I'd better get back on topic. Perigrin facons used to be my absolute favroite animal , but then I found out about the arctic fox.

P.S. Sorry about the name on my last post, I spaced.

Anonymous said...

Well that is easy to see why you like the paragon falcon, if I remember right isn't the top speed about 200 mph when they dive? Well my favorite animal I would have to say is the "holy lizard" as some may call it I forgot it's name but it can get away from predators by running fast enough to just simply run on water. It is green but is very skinnym, skinny probly beause it needs as little wate possible.)

Anonymous said...

Phatt Mann, I too like corgis, and Harrison has one named Mickey. They do waddle and it is quite funny to watch.

I used to really like koala bears and I know they eat eucalyptus leaves, and because of that, they leaves are becoming very hard to come by. Silly koalas. I also like raccoons, and I think it is neat how they wash their food before they eat it. Their bandit-like masks are also pretty remarkable, and they live up to it too.

I haven't seen a cat carrying a mouse in its mouth before either Phatt Man, but I have seen a cat leave the guts of a mouse on the floor. Ernie, i agree, long haried cats to seem very lazy.
I don't think I have a favorite animal. I like cats and dogs a lot, but I don't prefer one above the other. My favorite animal might be the Feild Mouse. Ya, the Field Mouse is deffinatley my favorite animal. Well, I think its called a Feild Mouse. There smaller than regular mice and have lllooonnnggg tails. It might be called a Deer Mouse.
Phatt Man, why don't you have any pets?

I really like dogs. They are trustful, easy to train, and also
dogs are some of my favorite movies
like underdog. It's about a beagle
gets super power and saves his city from a bad guy called Bart sinister. It,s a realy great movie.
Also there,s a another movie called
air buddies. It,s about five puppies who,s parents are kidnaped
and they are trying to save them.
There is also a second movie called
snow buddies.

I too like dogs, and have four. Sometimes they're a hassle, but over-all they're loving devoted and smelly (although I could do without the last bit). I don't know why, but wolves have never appealed to me as much as plain dogs or foxes, especially foxes of the arctic type. It's not because of all the nasty stories about wolves, I know those aren't true, But another thing I know is that I just never really liked them. It's strange.

I have heard of under dog from many people. A dog saving a city sound s really cool and exiting but... even though it sounded really great it did not catch my eye. And even though most of my friends ssaid it was really really good and I had to go I did not. I really did not want to see it. Green Dragon, I also love dogs. We recently lost(meaning it pased away)our dog. We all were not ready to get one for a while. But then our friend Linda told us about a dog and we got him. That is Oscar. Our dog before Oscar was the boss for about all the dogs up and down our road and that would be about seven dogs. But oscar let anyone be his boss. He did not mind. Sometimes when I take a really really long walk with my dog when he get's back he colapses on the floor.
Our cat Mosey, when he started getting old he did not batt toys around or play very much. He is about thirteen now. but about two weeks ago he started to batt the string I was using to make bracelets. We used to have a cat that would let us do anything to him. Let me see...
one time I was going for a ride on my bike with my sister and we decided to bring him along. We put him in a bike basket and he accuactly stayed in. An other time my sister's friend Kaley came over and they put him in a doll bag. My dad asked what was in there when it meowed and Hannah said it was her stomach. My dad opened up the bag and he jumped out.

My favorite animal is a tiger I think it is my favorite animal becase I have always been interested in wild cats and I have been focusing on tigers since second grade. Not only are tigers my favorite animals they are also the biggest cats on the planet. My favorite type of tigers are siberian ones. I am also favor dogs like most people in my family. I want to get another dog for my dog to play with because he needs something more to do than stay clear of my three cats. I would not call them exactly my favorite animals but I also like my guinea pigs they are fun to pick up even though they do scratch some times but they have very good hearing if you rustle a piece of paper they will think that it is their food and start squeaking.

Anonymous said...

oopps I meant to say I favor dogs.

Anonymous said...

Hmmm...
That is the same with me Big T. Almost. My dog needs someone to play with because he is very lonely. But his bones keep him company. I am not a big fan of tigers. It is not that I am scared of them... they just don't interest me.

Anonymous said...

sipleahoppatense I don't really like dogs all that much because when i was little I was attacked by one, I love tigers though, they are really cute even though they can eat you but that's besides the point. flanders, I can't believe youu have never heard of a Russin black cat.She is all black. I love her to death and I am glad I got her because when she was a kitten, she was rescude from the ASPCA. I don't know what had happend to her because my Aunt Earlene got her for me for my birthday. They never told me what happend to her, but she's safe and helthy now.
My second favorite animal I would have to say is a Duck. They are really cool. I also like them because they swim and I love to swim, they also have webbed feet which I think is pretty cool because it's like they have those swimming thing that some people wear on their feet to help them swim, but they don't come off.

Wow pigwigeon, four dogs. That seems like a big hassle. We(meaning my parents, brothers and I) had three dogs. They were old but still a hassle. They were finally put down and we burried them in the woods in the back of our house. Midnight, whats the ASPCA? I never heard of it. I was once attacked by a dog, but it was in a friendly way, and creepy.
My secnd favorite animal is probably dogs. I like them because they're loyal, hyper, fun to play with and easy and hard to teach tricks.

Anonymous said...

Kidderkidzvaagan I agree that dogs can be a hassle but I think it is worth it. Dogs are my favorite domestic animals because they are they are loyal and make a great friend. My dog is my best friend and she always cheers me up when I am sad.

I also love wild animals. However I do not like one more than I do the others. I like horses because they are gentle animals and it is fun to ride them. I like chickens as well because they are very nice and they are very pretty.

Anonymous said...

Getting way back to what Kidderkitsvaagaan asked me, our family does not have any pets because my mom and I are allergic to animal fur. My mom once had a reaction while riding a horse, and almost died. I am not quite as bad, but if I am in a house with a cat or dog, ny eyes start to water, and I start to sneeze. But, my sister wants that corgi really, really, badly, and my mom said that she will "make it work."

Anonymous said...

I don't only like tigers I am propably into most wild cats but when it is choosing between domestic cats and dogs I think that I would have to side dogs though I still love my cats guinea pigs and bird almost as much. I mostly have to side with dog because he is very quiet on like my other pets who can't stop talking. I would not say that they are my favorite animals but I think hienas are the animals most like me mostly because like me they like o laugh.

Anonymous said...

kidderkizvaagan, the ASPCA is where animals get saved from people who have abandoned them or abused them.
Phatt mann my mom is allergic to some animals but I don’t now how she does it but we have three cats two rats a dog and a turtle, her eyes water up some times and she sneezes but that’s all what happens to her.

Anonymous said...

Big T, You do resemble a hyena. You like to laugh, and yes, hyenas do have that signature cackle. Like many animals, they have certain human traits.
One thing that I like about animals is their predictability. Madame Nikki, our neighbor, has a dog named Luke. Every time we drive past her house, Luke runs alongside our car, and somehow avoids getting hit by the wheels. Visitors to our house always fear that they will run him over, but we have gotten used to him, and actually find his car-chasing comforting. If our family did get a dog, one thing that I would look forward to is having a friend that loves you, no matter what.

Again, someone posted while I was commenting.

I once went to one of my parents friends house once, and we saw a picture of a whole pack.I can't remember but I think they were chasing after something, but like I said I can't remember.I also like hippos.Even though they are really dangerous. They just look sort of weird to me.I do like cats(I have 5 of them)But they are pet animals.I like the wombat to.I wonder if the loony tunes got the Tazmani and devil from that animal. But how did they come up with his strange attitude.

Anonymous said...

Flanders they got the behavior for "Taz" by the fierce behavior that it might have in the wild, like destroying everything is really just it's nature.
I think my absolute favorite animal is a anobi lizard. They are about 3-4 inches when they are fully grown and they eat things the size of their head, crickets. It kind of looks funny when it eats.

Anonymous said...

Flanders, a whole pack of what, I dont like hippoes but i like cats. Hippoes i think are ugly but that is just my oppinion. Hippoes also like to roll around in the mud that they see. Hippoes are not on my list.

Anonymous said...

Spiter Pig I also like lizards but I have never seen an anodi lizard. As I said I like all animals, however I don't like sharks very much because they have sharp teeth. I have always love dogs but since my brothers are younger and did not now how to take care of a dog, we have never had a dog until last your.

Sorry, my sister has alerted me that her actual Corgi preferance is Pembroke Corgis, not Cardigan Corgis.

I'm a dead kid :)
